The Last Day

So many memories, so many new friends. The best part of the camp was it provided us platform to showcase our talent, helped us to make new friends and to know our teachers from our stream as well as from B.com stream a little better.

The second last day we didn't had the shramadhan work but had other competitions.

At evening everyone was busy practicing for the cultural programme. On request of one of my sir I along with my two friends performed one dance.

The enjoyment was during the street play practice. I was given the role of small child.  The theme of the street play was The Primary Education of children should be in there mother tongue.

The serving committee for that day was our beloved teachers, who served yummy yummy food. With or without our wil. It's was really too much fun.

After dinner we were shown slideshow of our photos which described everyone's journey. We all almost made us cry.

After this was our cultural programme  which included dancing, singing, monologue, and much more.

Then we were taken out were we played some games and then our groups were dissolved and the camp fire was burned. Wow that day I wil never forget in my life. After that we performed our Street play and then some students told about there experience at camp. We all were somewhat a little sad because the next morning we had to pack our bags and go home. We wanted to stay a little more, spend some more time, to create some more memories but it was not possible as "Everything which starts has to end".

We all went to sleep but in little mischievous manners when everyone went to sleep we applied kajal and toothpaste on some girls face. And there reaction in morning was worth to see.

In morning we all got up packed our bags, kept the classroom in the manner they were in the beginning. Then everyone once again cleaned the campus then had there breakfast and were ready to set out to there homes.

As we started our journey through bus it also ended with bus journey. But we were not going back barehanded but each and everyone was taking some or the other memories whether good or bad along with them.

The Remaining Days

Everyone were told to get up early and  get ready a bit early then the usual time. And i was a bit unhappy because whole night I and yuga used to talk and thus found it difficult to get up early.

Yuga, one of my good friend. Talking to her was among the best thing to do, as we used to share everything in that time.

In morning we somehow managed to be on time. We all were called for a short assembly, except the kitchen committee for that day. And along with our teachers we headed towards a farm which was situated at one of the hilly terrain of valpoi.

I was feelings as if we were going for tracking. And as it was morning time we were told to run, it was really exhausting.
As soon as sir saw me I ran to the top of my speed but when I was out of his notice I started walking slowly.

When we reached the spot. The view from there was beautiful. I felt that walking so much was of some benefit.
The head of the farm gave us some information regarding his farm and also showed some methods to remove milk and how he create gober gas and much more.

Then we were taken to see the whole farm. After that we were told to collect supari and it was declared that the team which collects maximum number of supari will be given some prize. So everyone at once got into the competition, we enjoyed a lots.

When our work was over we were served breakfast there only.

The other remaining days we had many interesting competition like putting rangoli from natural substances, debate, cricket match, mad act and much more.

As the days passed the enjoyment level raised and the feeling of extending the camp days increased, we wanted to stay there for more days but it was not possible.

The Real Beginning

The real start of our journey began  the next day that is on 3-11-2016
It was a healthy start of the day as we began it with morning exercise followed by the assembly, which unfortunately I was not able to attend as I fainted during the assembly and this, by coincidence made me somewhat famous among the fellow students.

Team one that was Rajguru were the kitchen committee for this day, who served yummy breakfast for us. Then the main objective of NSS camp and that is cleaning was contacted each team taken separately to do the cleaning work and my team had to clean the campus. After that was our lunch break and we all got engage in practice for evening event that was a skit based on protecting environment. Having fun was our only agenda so we Harley practiced for the skit.

The evening session was the time were we gained some extra knowledge which is useful in our daily lives. The topic of session was Fire safety, the guest speaker not only enhanced us with does and doesn't during fire but also practically showed us how to use fire extinguisher.

After this we had some time to relax and then at evening we had the prayer session in which we learned patriotic songs and also did some meditation and tried to know our self little better.

Following this we had our dinner and every group performed there skit very well it was fun watching everyone performing, after this everyone went to sleep except my group as we were called for a meeting to prepare our self for next day as we were the Kitchen Committee who were responsible for taking care of everyone at campus site.

We went to sleep with a tension of next day, but were pretty excited too.

The First Lesson

Wow...! The morning was so beautiful.
One benefit of getting up early in morning before everyone gets up is that you can enjoy the freshness of the morning, the stillness, the quietness to the fullest.

It was on 4-11-2016 that my group members day started a bit early, then others at camp site that is at 4:30 am. Before everyone gets up we had to sweep, mope the campus floor, prepare bed tea for everyone, put a beautiful rangoli at the entrance and create a environment in which our fellow being were comfortable with.

This was not a easy task as we for that day had to play the role of parents. That is from the beginning of the day till the day end we had to take care of all the people at the camp site. This included preparing food for them, serving it to them, cleaning the utensils and what not.

That day we understood the value of hard work our mothers do everyday. The meaning of the NSS moto that is " Not me but you" was truly understood by us that day.

We had to prepare food, serve everyone, as well as practice for night competition in the same time. It was not easy we had to really work hard to complete everything on time. We were required to be on our toes the whole day.

The evening session was based on consumer awareness. For the guest speaker we had to make a bouquet from the things available in our surroundings and we did a good job.

Then the routine was as before. The kitchen committee were always the last to have food just like our mothers, as we had to serve food for others and then clean everything.

It was the rule that kitchen committee had to performe last for the night competition. From the whole day work we hardly got time to practice for mime that was the competition set for that day.

The most funnest and the most memorable moment of this camp was my group practice during the last minute that was while washing the utensils at night😝😂.

That day was one of the best day I spend at camp, as we got the feeling of parenthood that day and for us respect for our parents increased. That day we got a sound sleep as the day was really exhausting.

camping diary

College life is not easy, specially when you do professional course like B.A.B.Ed. The extra curricular activity helps you to be normal in your daily life. The NSS camp held by my college at Nagargoa Valpoi was like a turning point in my life. It transformed my boring college life into amazing life full of wonderful new friends.😊

It all began on 2-11-2016.  Me and my friends were too excited to began our journey, that started from our college and ended at our destination that is the campus of that school that we were suppose to stay for more 7 days.

The first day was not so interesting as  we all hardly knew anyone but it didn't took much time to mix with each other as the stories of ghost narrated by Aishwarya bought the girls gang together. This unity did last for a long time as Mansi with our support got into a fight with second year  students for getting space to sleep under the fan,but our teacher handled the situation at the right moment. Then we were called for our dinner and later everyone were divided into groups, the name of the groups were based on  the well known freedom fighter of India and we were supposed to created group slogan and one of my group member  created one funny slogan. so basically the day ended with a happy note.
